This is it… your chance to shine! It’s the Control Panel Design Contest from Control Engineering.

Impress your peers, your boss and the industry with your control panel design prowess. And, have fun making a video too! Control Engineering’s Control Panel Design Contest gives you the chance to highlight your engineering creativity for everyone to see.

Here’s how to enter:
Submit a video (5 minutes or less) demonstrating the following points (NOTE: Not all points need to be addressed in the video, but the more points addressed, the better your chances of winning):

• Exhibit the thought process for determining the layout of components, both
  interior and exterior
• Exhibit component mounting techniques
• Exhibit wire and cable termination techniques
• Explain how consistency is maintained from one person to another in
  component mounting and wiring practices (example: operator device
  orientation and wire termination)
• Exhibit an example of door work (mounting, labeling & wiring of devices on an
  enclosure door, or other exterior surfaces)
• Exhibit methods for insertion of completed panels into enclosures
• Explain or exhibit methods for maintaining cleanliness and protection of the
  enclosure and components
• Explain testing procedures
• OPTIONAL: One unique feature or method of your choice

Your video may include a five second intro screen featuring your company/project name and information and a five second closing screen with your contact information (email, URL, phone, etc).

Here’s what you win:
Winners receive an award from Control Engineering recognizing your control panel design expertise in addition to recognition in Control Engineering magazine, on controleng.com, and in relevant Control Engineering newsletters. Bottom line: You will be widely recognized throughout the automation and control industry as a master of control panel design.
