Do you need a VFD able to withstand the extreme challenges of an outdoor installation? The built-to-order Field Drive from Schneider Electric stands up to Heat, Cold, Moisture, Dust and Dirt.

Today’s Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) are being pushed to the limit when installed directly outdoors. Unlike indoor applications, you must fully consider lightning and surge protection, extreme changes in temperature…both hot and cold, as well as moisture, dust and dirt. Any of these factors can adversely impact performance and cost you time and money.

But mount our Schneider Electric ATV61 (variable torque) or ATV71 (constant torque) VFD in our Type 3R enclosure with our proven components and you have a powerful, high-performance solution that is tough enough to meet your specific environmental requirements…the
Schneider Electric Field Drive.

Multiple design considerations were made to make sure that our Field Drive VFD keeps operating within its specified temperature range. The Drive’s heat sink is mounted out of the back of the enclosure, removing almost 90% of its heat, and eliminating the need for enclosure cooling fans. And, because the Field Drive requires no air filters, you eliminate the risk of filter-clogging and premature equipment failure caused by a dusty environment.

The Schneider Electric Field Drive VFD features…

- TYPE 3R rating at 230volt (1-100 Hp) and 460volt (1-150 Hp)
- UL listed
- No fans or air filters to maintain!
- 40 Degrees C standard rating (50 degrees C also attainable)
- Enclosure Space Heater
