Overview of Benefit Programs

Schneider Electric offers a comprehensive, competitive benefits package. Our programs can protect employees and their families against many large expenses today, and also help generate income they can use during their retirement years. Eligible employees are covered under most of these programs on their first day of work.

Flexible Benefits Plan

Under the flexible benefits plan, employees choose the level of benefit coverage they need. Both the Company and our employees share the responsibility for the cost of this program. The plan includes the following benefits:

  • A medical plan with three options, offering various levels of deductibles and co-payments, including an EPO or HMO. All options cover a wide range of services, including preventive care and vision care, and have a prescription drug program;
  • A dental plan that helps pay for a variety of dental services;
  • Life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance;
  • A disability Benefits Plan with short-term disability and long-term disability
  • A health care flexible spending account, which includes a discretionary Company match on employee pre-tax contributions; and
  • A dependent care flexible spending account.
  • We also offer dependent life insurance for employees' families and provide business travel accident insurance.

Employees' Retirement Savings Plan - 401(k)

Our 401(k) plan provides employees the opportunity to accumulate significant savings for retirement through employee pre-tax and after-tax contributions and a Company match. The company match contributions are subject to a graduated vesting schedule. The plan also allows rollover contributions, loans and hardship withdrawals.
