The vibrant, eye-catching Plant Tour van will make stops in primarily the western and southwestern U.S. between June and October 2008. “The Square D Services Plant Tour van is a unique approach to educating maintenance staff and facility managers in a given city or region about Schneider Electric product and service offerings,” says Mike Rice, Vice President of Services. “It provides a convenient opportunity for such personnel to learn about products and services that can help update vintage or older equipment to modern technology and components, creating a safer, reliable and more cost-effective manufacturing environment.” Rice notes that changes to the van for the 2008 schedule have been well-received by visitors. In addition to the life extension, equipment optimization and electrical safety solutions already displayed, new displays include a Square D® Masterpact® circuit breaker test unit; electronic board repair; enhancements to power monitoring solutions; and an electrical joint temperature monitoring system utilizing spread-spectrum wireless with Modbus® TCP communications.
