Multi-Link Video Accessories For larger structured wiring applications that typically include more upgrade products we have several video accessories that will make these Multi-Link installations easier to install and set-up. These accessories provide greater flexibility to meet unique application requirements. Some structured wiring applications will require the use of these products:

• Low Pass Filter - When a blank TV channel is not available, this product is used to clear cable TV channels so that modulated signals, such as video camera signals, can be added to the distributed system. Catalog Number: SDM600LPF

  APPLICATION NOTES: This filter can be used in applications that include modulated camera signals, where there are no clear TV channels available in the cable system to assign for the viewing of a camera location. The low pass filter is used to remove interference from cable signals on channels where modulated signals are to be located. When the low pass filter is installed, modulated signals can be added to the system above channel 91.

• 3dB and 6dB Attenuators - Used to correct the over-amplification of video signals by reducing signal strength, helping to improve picture quality. Catalog Numbers: 3dB Attenuator SDM2503, 6dB Attenuator SDM2506

  APPLICATION NOTES: These attenuators, reduce video signal strength by either 3dB or 6dB, and are used to improve picture quality by correcting over-amplification. Multiple attenuators can be added in series to reduce the video signal even further, meeting almost any application need.
