8-Way Video Splitter
An inexpensive solution for video distribution

This Multi-Link video splitter (SDM18VS) provides affordable video distribution throughout the house for up to 8 locations. It's large bandwidth (1GHz) makes it ideal for distribution of cable modem, off-air antenna or cable television signals (including digital cable). The splitter provides a much more economical solution than using an amplifier hub.

APPLICATION NOTES:
Since this new splitter has a relatively high insertion loss (12dB), you must first verify that the incoming cable signal level is sufficiently strong before using this product.

• Using multiple 8-way splitters in series would result in significant signal loss, which could cause poor picture quality. For video distribution to more than eight rooms we recommend using amplifier hubs.
• This splitter will not pass infrared control signals. For applications requiring infrared control, use a 3x8 video hub, catalog number SDM38VBIR or SDM38VHIR.
