Miniature Circuit Breakers
Most of these miniature circuit breakers protect electrical circuits from overcurrent by thermal type trip and short circuits by magnetic trip. Miniature circuit breakers are physically small and protect relatively low amperages: usually 10 - 150A. They are available in 1, 2, and 3-poles, and used in 120V, 120/240V, 240V, and 480Y/277V ac and up to 125V dc systems. They usually have a toggle operating mechanism for manual disconnect and to show the breaker status. Several different product lines are available for use in UL67 individual enclosures, load centers, panelboards, and OEM equipment. They are tested to UL489 Molded Case Circuit Breaker standard.
